Social Activists have been complaining about violation of norms when it comes to naming the Government Schemes after the members of one family. As many as 30 schemes were named after either NTR or Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh. And now, Attempts are being made to name a new scheme after another family members of NTR.

TDP Government is coming up with a new scheme (Basavatharakam Mother Kit) named after NTR's first wife. These kits are meant for the pregnant women. How can a Welfare Scheme be named after someone who isn't associated with the Government? Whether if Nandamuri or Nara Family is funding the new scheme to name it about Basavatharakam?

Central Government hasn't named a single scheme after Narendra Modi or any of his family members or BJP Leaders. PM is being used as prefix for few schemes implemented by the Centre. Then, How could TDP Government use the name of former CM's Wife for a welfare scheme? That's more like setting a bad precedent...expect Welfare Schemes named after Bhuvaneswari, Vasundhara and even Brahmani in future.
