As election time is inching closer and closer, floor crossings are becoming the order of the day. The latest buzz is that the TDP strongman from Prakasam district Karanam Balaram is all set to join the YSRCP. Balaram, a former minister and a TDP loudmouth, has been upset ever since his arch rival Gottipati Ravikumar defected from the YSRCP to the TDP. Balaram opposed him tooth and nail and took up the issue with even Chandrababu Naidu, but to no avail.
Adding insult to injury, the TDP honcho reportedly asked him to contest from another constituency and leave his for Gottipati Ravi. Balaram made it amply clear that Addanki was his' and that his son would contest from there. If his son Venkatesh is not given the seat, Karanam Balarams, one of the strongest pillar of the TDP, might as well join the YSRCP.

Interestingly, Ravi Kumar is from YSRCP, but moved to the TDP. Karanam, originally a TDP man, might join the YSRCP. Karanam's leaving could significantly affect the TDP fortunes in Prakasam district, where the YSRCP has a clear edge.
