A group loyal to MLC Somu Veerraju in the BJP is strongly opposing Kanna Laxminarayana's appointment as AP BJP president.
BJP East Godavari district unit president Malakondaiah has released a selfie video to the media. He found fault with the BJP high command for appointing Kanna as BJP chief instead of Somu Veerraju. Malakondaiah said that Kanna Laxminarayana was supposed to join YSRCP a few days ago. He said that he is resigning from the party. Meanwhile, Somu Veerraju became unavailable as he was angry with the BJP leadership over Kanna’s appointment for the top post.
