Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that Xiaomi is one of the faster-growing companies in India in mobile sales. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he stated that Xiaomi had sold 9 million phones in four years after company forayed into the Indian market. The Chief Minister said that water, power and land will be provided to Xiaomi for setting up unit near Tirupati.
Earlier, Chandrababu held talks with officials of Xiaomi in Tirupati. The mobile maker wants to set up manufacturing unit either in Sri City or near Tirupati with an investment of Rs 4,000 crore.
