AP Govt to launch Electric Vehicles Policy Soon

Amaravati : The Andhra Pradesh government is going to release its Electric Vehicles policy. IT Minister Nara Lokesh participated in the Electric Mobility Stakeholders meeting at the Secretariat in Amaravati. Electric vehicles and batteries manufacturers have been invited to share their suggestions to develop the policy. Addressing the representatives of electric vehicle and battery making companies, IT Minister said that new electric policy will be introduced soon with an aim of attracting companies like Isuzu,Kia,Hero etc. The meeting discussed on increasing the usage of electric vehicles, making of electric vehicles with less cost and taking up research on electric vehicles. Nara Lokesh sought suggestions from the participants. AP Govt has signed a MoU with Hyperloop Transport Technologies to introduce futuristic Hyperloop transportation line between Vijayawada and Amaravati giving a fillip to smart mobility in the state.
