Former MP Singam Basavapunnaiah Passes Away

Guntur : Tenali former MP Singam Basavapunnaiah passed away. He was born in Modumudi village of Krishna district and has pursued a legal career. In 1989, the Congress came from Tennali parliamentary constituency and won the TDP candidate Umama Reddy Venkateswara and acted as an MP in the 9th Lok Sabha. In the subsequent parliamentary elections he lost to TDP candidate and film actress Sharda. For a long time he has been away from active politics because of his growing age. Many politicians were mourning for the death of Basavapunnaiah.
