Amaravati, Oct 15 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's complaint against a sitting Supreme Court judge to the Chief Justice of India, S.A. Bobde, needs to be probed, said former Andhra Pradesh High Court Advocates Association president K.B. Ramanna Dora.

"The complaint of the chief minister certainly needs to be investigated and also clarified by both parties," said Dora.

He claimed the judiciary itself has forced the legislature of Andhra Pradesh to take the extreme step of lodging a complaint against a sitting senior Supreme Court judge.

The advocate claimed that there was no prior animosity between Reddy and the judge as it was evident by Reddy not blaming any judge for the cases against him.

"He never blamed any judge when he was booked by the CBI and sent to jail in the alleged quid pro quo case," said Dora

Dora said that Reddy always blamed a dark agreement between the Congress party and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to implicate him in CBI cases.

"He never made complaints against the judiciary for the criminal cases against him. The Chief Minister's conduct in the last 16 months even when unduly attacked by the judiciary for taking up widely acclaimed welfare measures for the people has been worth emulating and praiseworthy," he claimed.

Referring to the current state of affairs between Andhra Pradesh government and the judiciary, the advocate said both the legislature and the judiciary should avoid such situations in the future.

"The need of the hour is to restore the people's faith in constitutional governance," he added.
