3,116 cr budget apporved by TTD for the year 2019-20

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has estimated to get total receipts of Rs 3,116.25 crore for the year 2019-20 which is just Rs 82 crore more than the revised budget income for 2018-19 which was Rs 3,034 crore. The TTD proposed to utilise a similar amount for various requirements. The TTD Trust Board meeting chaired by Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav approved the budget for 2019-20 and also the revised estimates for 2018-19 at its meeting held here on Tuesday.

The sources of funds (receipts)  for 2019-20 include Hundi collections (kanukas) (Rs 1,231 crore), interests on investments (Rs 845.86 crore), darshanam receipts including Rs 300 seegra darshan, VIP break darshan etc (Rs 235 crore), sale of prasadams (Rs 270 crore) and sale of human hair (talaneelalu) (Rs 100 crore).  

Accommodation (Rs 105 crore), Arjitham receipts (Rs 57 crore) and through lease, rents from hotels, toll gate receipts, sale of publications, sale of proceeds, gold dollars and other capital receipts. etc (Rs 204 crore). While the utilisation of funds for 2019-20 included salaries and wages (Rs 625 crore), procurement of materials (Rs 541 crore), grants and constructions (Rs 283 crore), fixed assets, engineering works (Rs 400 crore), outsourcing employees (Rs 339.58 crore), pension, gratuity trust payments (Rs 260 crore), repairs and maintenance (Rs 135 crore), propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma (Rs 179.55 crore), FMS and sanitation (Rs 139 crore) and other capital and miscellaneous expenses (Rs 264 crore).
