Amaravathi: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is likely to contest in Odisha in 2019 elections to capitalize on the preponderance of Telugu speaking people in Southern districts of the State. As TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu has set his eye on the national arena and is trying to garner support from anti-BJP, TDP’s foray into Odisha is expected to further bolster his position. The TDP is likely to contest elections on development agenda and put before people the strides made by Andhra Pradesh in last four-and-a-half years compared to Odisha under the ruling of Naveen Patnaik.
