6 feared dead at Yarada beach in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: A joy trip turned into a tragedy for a group of friends who had gone for a picnic at Yarada beach in Vizag on Sunday when six of them went missing and are feared to have drowned.
Police said, 10 youngsters from HB Colony in Vizag city had gone to the beach for a picnic marking the Kartika month. While they were swimming in the waters, they were caught in a strong current that dragged them deep into the sea. While four of them were rescued by community guards, six have gone missing.
The police identified the missing youths as D. Vasu, P. Tirupathi, K. Srinivas, N. Ganesh, Rajesh and Durga Rao, all aged between 20 and 22 years.
