Govt to add another 25 new junior colleges in AP

The government to set up another 25 government junior colleges from the next academic year in the mandals where no government, aided and private junior college was set up so far.  The MLAs urged the government to set up fifty government colleges and submitted proposals to the Board of Intermediate. Following instructions of the government, the BIE recommended to set up twenty-five government junior colleges and sent the file to government.


Minister for Human Resources Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao must send the proposal with a recommendation to the state Cabinet for its approval. Highly placed sources in the BIE informed that very recently the BIE sent the file with a recommendation to Ganta Srinivasa Rao. After getting his nod, this proposal will go to Cabinet for its approval. It will take some more time. As soon as Cabinet will give its nod, the BIE is ready to set up government junior colleges. Lecturers will be appointed on contract basis. At present there are 450 government junior colleges in the State.
