Indian Railways to run Ramayana Yatra special service from Nov 14

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run a special tourist train associated with the story of Lord Shri Ram from the famous Indian epic Ramayana in the name of ‘Ramayana Yatra’. Disclosing the details of yatra, the Area Manager BV Ramesh has said that, the yatra will be organised in Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train which will start on November 14 from Madurai Railway Station. The train will cover all important destinations associated with the life of Lord Shri Ram in a 15 days all inclusive tour package that spread in India and Nepal. The package includes meals, accommodation and wash and change facilities, sight-seeing arrangements. 


Tourists can board this special train at Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Chennai Cehntral and Renigunta Railway Station. Deboarding for AP tourists is available at Gudur Railway Station. The train covers important destinations of Ramayana circuit such as Hampi, Nasik, Chitrakut Dham, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Ayodhya, Nandigram, Allahabad, Shrigaverpur, Rameswaram, Devipatnam and Thirupullani.
