SC to take up 'vote for note case' before AP Assembly polls

More trouble might be awaiting Chandrababu Naidu as the Supreme Court is likely to take up the sensational vote-for-note case that had taken place in 2015 during MLC elections in Telangana. Following a petition by opposition YSR Congress party which urged to expedite the case, the Apex court has responded positively and accepted the petition. It stated that it would take up the case in February 2019.

As Feb 2019 comes right before the 2019 general polls, this is likely to have huge impact on the prevailing political situation in Andhra Pradesh.However, TDP and Chandrababu Naidu are quite confident of overcoming such hurdles. TDP leaders are alleging that both YCP and BJP have "colluded" and stepping up attack against Naidu. They say that both YCP, BJP are trying to destabilize Naidu's government. One has to wait and see, what is in store for Naidu and TDP in the coming days given that even BJP's AP leaders repeatedly stating that Naidu would be sent to jail.
