HCL to offer 5000 Jobs to youth on AP Project.

Vijayawada:  The HCL Technologies, the third largest IT company in India spread over 29.86 acres of land, is expected to provide employment to 5,000 youth of AP.  Information Technology (IT) Minister N Lokesh performed bhumi puja for HCL Technologies new global IT development and training center at Gannavaram near here on Monday.


HCL plans to service its global customers, especially in hi-tech industry. Through its "back home" campaign HCL plans to attract talent who belong to Vijayawada and provide them with exciting careers in the areas of application and product development, including new technologies on demand. The company will be investing in creating a training center for fresh engineer graduates from local colleges.


In accordance with the MoU with the AP government, the HCL will develop two facilities with an investment of over Rs 700 crore in Vijayawada and Amaravati in the next few years. A skill development center with 1,000-seat capacity will also be developed as part of the MoU. Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said that the event marked a historic stage in AP’s IT sector.


He quoted multiple examples on how leadership and vision make all the difference. He said that the state government already had created 36,000 jobs in IT since 2014.


He said HCL Amaravati campus is expected to become one of their biggest campuses in India creating around 10,000 jobs. He said the state government recently rolled out the consolidated AP IT policy 2018-20 for promoting the development of IT and Telecom campuses and parks.


Roshni Nadar Malhotra, executive director, and CEO HCL corporation said HCL technologies is committed to bringing new opportunities and creating a better future for the people. 


The company successfully expanded the IT hubs like Madurai, Lucknow, and Nagpur. Stating that there was abundant local talent, she thanked the Government of AP for its support in setting up this facility and added that it would create more employment opportunities for the youth.
