Chandrababu flagged off Haj pilgrimage buses

AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu flagged off first batch Haj pilgrimage buses from Praja Vedika at Undavalli today.Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state govt committed to the welfare of minorities and stressed the need for Minister post to Muslim community. He said that he would extend support for social and economic uplift of Muslim community and Muslims should develop leadership qualities.


The Chief Minister condemning GST on Haj Pilgrimage, he said that the state govt would fight against the centre to withdraw GST on Haj pilgrimage. Stating that the TDP entered into tie up with BJP to protect the interests of AP after state bifurcation. When the NDA govt failed to fulfil state bifurcation assurances, the TDP came out of NDA. He assured protection to Minorities in the state.Referring to triple talaq issue, the Chief Minister said he is the first one to oppose prosecution of Muslims and now the central Govt considering for amendment to the bill.


The Chief Minister said 2,348 people  are proceeding for Haj pilgrimage from Andhra Pradesh including 1247 men and 1101 women. They Haj pilgrims include 2 months old baby Lukhman of Anantapur and 77 year old Sayyed Salimabi of Amaravati.
