Ockhi Effect: Heavy rainfall to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati : Andhra Pradesh will receive heavy rainfall due to the deep depression over the central Bay of Bengal. Indian Meteorological Department official Murthy said that the Cyclone Ockhi will maintain its intensity in the next 12 hours. Under the influence of Ockhi, isolated to heavy rainfall will occur at Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. He advised fishermen not to venture into the sea. He stated local cautionary signals were issued at Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam, Kalingapatnam, Bheemunipatnam, Kakinada, Gangavaram, and Krishnapatnam ports.
