National Hydro Power Corporation Expert team to visit Polavaram Project

Amaravati: National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) expert tem will be inspecting Polavaram project cofferdam design and works of the Polavaram Project. A three member team will participate in a meeting with state Irrigation department officials on Saturday. The central team visit has assumed importance after the Centre raised objections over the design of cofferdam. Union Minister for Water Resources Nitin Gadkari said that the Center is committed to complete Polavaram by the end of 2018 when Irrigation department officials from the state met him in New Delhi.
