Minister Devineni Uma meets Nitin Gadkari over Polavaram

Amaravati : Union Minister for Water Resources Nitin Jairam Gadkari has assured Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that the BJP-led NDA government will complete the Polavaram Project by the end of 2018. Nitin Gadkari participated in a review meeting on Polavaram in which AP officials led by Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheswararao took part. The Minister warned contractors that the Centre will take action if they delay Polavaram works. The AP officials requested the Union Minister to release funds for the implementation of R&R package for displaced. He immediately sanctioned Rs 381 crores and assured them to release remaining Rs 2,900 crore very soon.
