Ace Archer Surekha wins silver medal in Dhaka

Vijayawada : Ace archer from the vijayawada city girl Vennam Jyothi Surekha, who won many medals in national and international archery events, once again won individual silver medal in the Asian Archery championship being held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. According to information, she won the medal in compound women's category in the 20th Asian Archery Championship on Tuesday.
Surekha beat Wu Ting Ting of Chinese Taipei 146-142 to win the medal. Earlier in quarter finals Surekha beat Parveena. In the semi finals, Surekha lost the match to Choi Bomin, Korea. Another Indian archer Abhishek Verma won individual gold in the compound men’s category.
