President to Visit AP on Dec7

Hyderabad : President Ramnath Kovind will visit the Andhra Pradesh on December 7 and 8 to participating in the Sub Marine Colors presentation program in Visakhapatnam. Governor Narasimhan, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will accompany along with President.
The Indian Navy’s submarine arm formally came into existence on Dec 8, 1967 with the commissioning of INS Kalveri under the command of Commander K Subramanian. Simultaneously, sanctions were also accorded to acquire a submarine depot ship and a submarine rescue ship as also to set up shore support facilities of a submarine base INS Virbahu.
