Vice President to Inaugurate VIT Hostel Blocks today

Amaravati : Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate academic and hostel blocks, which were named after as Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Academic block and Sarojini Naidu hostel block, on the premises of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) at Inavolu village in Thullur mandate on Tuesday. The state government had allotted 200 acres for VIT near AP Secretariat. While allocating the land, the state government has set a target of enrolling 18,000 students in the first five years. More than 630 students from 24 states have taken admission into the VIT. Students will attend the classes in academic block and stay in hostel in accommodation block once they are inaugurated.
The inauguration of VIT campus in AP as a landmark not only in the VIT history but also AP history as VIT is the first private University to come up in the capital Amaravati.
