Sambasiva Rao appointed full-time DGP

Amaravati : The Andhra Pradesh government issued orders appointing the DGP, Nanduri Sambasiva Rao as full-time DGP. The UPSC had raised objection over the inclusion of senior three IPS officers N Sambasiva Rao, Malakondaiah and Ramana Murthy, who will be retiring in less than a year and had rejected two lists sent by the AP government. The state government came to know that few senior IPS officers from AP have been misleading the UPSC. Now, the UPSC will be forced to accept DGP’s appointment. The government was of the view Sambasiva Rao as DGP has handled the serious issues in sensitive way.
However the Govt gave no clarity over the extension term of Sambasivarao, according the latest reports government would continue Sambasivarao as DGP until next 2019elections.
