Biometric Attendance mandatory in AP Govt Offices

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Government has issued an order to biometric attendance, e-office system in state secretariat,all district offices,autonomous institutions. The government has also appointed a Nodal Authority to monitor the implementation of e-office and biometric attendance in government offices throughout the state. The Chief Administrative Officer appointed the Secretary of State (Political) as the Nodal Authority, Project Director of the Human Resources Management System, and the Department of Additional Secretaries as Deputy Nodal Authorities.
Functions of Nodal Authority : The e-Office system across the State, including the Secretariat, to monitor the implementation of Biometric Attendance. Create report for reviews at Principal Secretary and Chief Minister level. Use IT applications for monitoring to take action on the defaulters. Check off the offices and provide appropriate instructions and suggestions. Sending staff from the Secretariat or any faculty office for inspection in the state.
E-office, taking the steps required to effectively implement the biometric attendance. The ITE&C Secretary will develop technical support for the development of IT applications required for the Nodal Authority for acquisition, collection, utilization, hardware management and personnel. Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar has issued GO in the name of state governor.
