Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was funding the Opposition YSR Congress Party so as to interfere in the State’s administration.

“To settle scores with me, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao is funding the YSRCP and hatching a conspiracy to buy votes for the Opposition by distributing money to the voters at the rate of 1,000 to 2,000 per vote,” he said while addressing a roadshow at Samalkot on Sunday.

Along with the TDP’s Lok Sabha candidate Chalamalasetti Sunil and Peddapuram Assembly candidate N. Chinarajappa, Mr. Naidu took part in a roadshow and urged the voters not to fall prey to the conspiracies hatched by Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao.

He further assured that the unemployment benefit would be extended to those who passed Intermediate and housing would be provided to all the eligible in the next five years.

Taking pot-shots at MP Thota Narasimham for crossing over to the YSRCP, Mr. Naidu said that keeping in view of Mr. Narasimham’s health condition, an MLC seat had been offered to the family.

Mr. Naidu later participated in a roadshow in Kakinada. Addressing an election meeting at Nandigama in the Krishna district on Sunday, Mr. Naidu promised that the Godavari waters would be supplied to upland areas of Krishna district if the TDP was voted to power. Mr. Naidu said that the farmers were suffering as there were no releases from Nagarjuna Sagar canal. The government would complete Chintalapudi lift irrigation scheme to bring Godavari river water to upland areas of Nandigama region, he said. Stating that the TDP government fulfilled all the promises made in the previous election manifesto, he said that the old-age pension was increased 10 times and 2,000 per month is being distributed. The TDP proposes to make it 3,000 per month.

Also, 4,000 would be deposited in banks towards Pasupu Kumkuma scheme for the benefit of women.
