Kakinada: More than 20,000 students have not joined engineering colleges after the first phase of counselling,some students who were  selected for the prominent universities have not taken admission
university sources says that students are waiting for the outcome of the admission process in IIT,IIITs,NIT and other top institutes,more than 300 students have not joined the JNTUK,Vizianagaram and Narasaraopet universities.
JNTUK sources said that,the date of second  phase counseling will be decided,based on the report cards of the students.


“We will wait for few more days to get the report cards from the students as per the government instruction ,after we will declare the vacant seats position of second round of counselling “said G.V.R prasad raju.


University sources said the Second phase counselling may  be held by end of the month,  These students had either not got seats in colleges or courses of their choice, or had not got seats at all. The first year B.tech courses have not began due to pending seats in the respective colleges.Engineering colleges with all seats taken are waiting for the date to commence classes.
