A 'Maha Garjana' in Vijayawada on September 15, they say

CPI(M) and CPI will launch a bus yatra for new political alternative in the State and to mark it a public meeting will be held at Central Park here on September 1.

The meeting will be addressed by CPI(M) Polit Bureau member B.V. Raghavulu, CPI national secretary K. Narayana, CPI(M) State secretary P. Madhu, Bhadrachalam MLA Sunnam Rajaiah and CPI assistant secretaries Muppalla Nageswara Rao and J. V. Satyanarayana Murthy.

The bus yatra will begin from Visakhapatnam and cover Srikakulam, Vizianagaram districts and the Agency area, East and West Godavari districts and will culminate in a ‘Maha Garjana’ meeting in Vijayawada on September 15.

Addressing a press conference here, CPI(M) and CPI district secretaries respectively K. Lokanadham and Bagepalli Venkataramana said TDP, BJP, YSRCP and Congress had no right to rule the State.

TDP had bowed down before BJP satisfying itself with a special package instead of Special Category Status and failed to protect the interests of minorities and dalits, the two leaders said. BJP had failed to fulfil the promises of SCS and the railway zone, among other things, to Andhra Pradesh. It was suppressing Dalits, minorities and women and was rolling out the red carpet for the corporate sector at the cost of common people, they said. YSRCP was confining itself to political criticism of the TDP and making a lot of promises but was silent on the BJP and the RSS, they said.
