Govt plans to modify the villages into model villages

Andhra Pradesh government aimed at transforming all villages into model villages, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said.Addressing a public meeting at Gudivada village in S Rayavaram mandal of the district on Tuesday, he pointed out that a nation did well only when the villages prospered. Though the State had to come out with several handicaps, it was being taken on the path of progress by implementing several welfare schemes. The government was taking care of people from birth to death and ensured everyone benefited from at least one or more schemes, he stated.


He sanctioned Rs 20 lakh for converting a tank into a park in the village. 


The Chief Minister arrived by a special helicopter in S Rayavaram at 11.50 am and inaugurated digital classrooms at the MPUP school in Kotha Polavaram village. He next inaugurated the newly built Anganwadi centre and left for Gudivada village which he toured for a while and appreciated the development taken place there during the past four years.Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Roads and Buildings Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, local MLA V Anita, district Collector Pravin Kumar and others were present.
