'No Bag Day' to implemented soon in schools

Deputy educational officer K Durga Prasad said that ‘No Bag Day’ will be implemented in all the municipal schools for the students of Class I to III on every second and fourth Friday of the month.


Speaking at a meeting organised by the primary school headmasters at Gandhi Municipal Corporation School at One Town, Durga Prasad said all schools should implement ‘No Bag Day’ on second and fourth Friday as per the instructions given by the school education department from this academic year. He said stern action would be taken against those schools which violate the government orders. 


He said the headmasters should divide the students into groups to participate in extra-curricular activities like sports, games or other programmes organised in the schools.He said all the headmasters should follow the latest teaching methods and encourage students to learn lessons before class and mould the students into good citizens. He suggested to headmasters that the students should be well informed over the importance of fruits and vegetables as they provide good health.
