National conference on ECE started at JNTU-K

A two-day national conference on Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE)  began at JNTU-K on Thursday.The programme is being sponsored by TEQIP-3. At the inaugural programme at ECE Seminar Hall, Prof K Purnanandam, Rector attended as chief guest.


Prof Umesh Chandra Patti, NIT, Rourkela, Prof TK Patra, College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar attended as guests of honour. Prof GVR Prasada Raju, principal, Prof A M Prasad, vice- principal, Prof B Balakrishna, vice-principal acted as guests of honor. 


Prof K Padma Priya, Head of ECE presided over the programme and welcomed the guests. Dr B Leela Kumari, K Jhansi Rani, Dr Aurna Tripathy acted as coordinators for the programme.


Prof K Purnanandam highlighted the significance of VLSI Design, Signal Processing and Embedded Systems in the field of Defense. 


He elaborated the role of ECE in the working of radars, seaports, air planes, machines, multiplex theaters and electronic gadgets. 


He elaborated on the progress of technology in making human lives better and sophisticated and lead the life in a flexible manner. 


A conference souvenir was released by the guests. Mementoes were presented to the guests.Dr B Leela Kumari proposed a vote of thanks. Directors, programme directors, HoDs, faculty, research scholars and students attended in  large numbers.
