TDP President and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has wrote a letter to all Members of Parliament in the country, seeking support for the No Confidence Motion moved by the party in the Lok Sabha against Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.

The TDP’s motion will be taken for the discussion in the House on Friday and hence Chandrababu Naidu wrote the letter on Thursday.

Party is demanding central government to implement the assurances made under AP Reorganization Act, 2014 and other promises made by the central government at various occasions.

He mentioned all the demands of State government with regard to the Act, in his letter. He explained about the failure of NDA government in fulfilling 18 assurances made in the Act.

Further, he said that, “The then Prime Minster specially assured to accord Special Category Status to AP for a period of 5 years to put the finances of the state on a firmer footing to which BJP (the then Opposition Party), not only agreed but also demanded and assured to accord Special Category Status for a period of 10 years. This is not implemented till today on flimsy grounds”.

Lambasting on the BJP, Chandrababu Naidu stated that, “It is unfortunate to note that the BJP led NDA government has not even respected its own election manifesto, 2014 relating to bifurcated AP, which promised SCS and fulfilment of all provisions of the Act. Further, PM Narendra Modi during his election campaigns in Tirupati and Nellore towns assured to accord SCS and this assurance too is not implemented.”

The TDP supremo said that the palpable reluctance and disinterest in implementation of assurances and promises by BJP government has led to severe hardships to the people of AP.

He mentioned about the fight that launched by TDP MPs from previous session of Parliament onwards, against the BJP.

In his tow pages letter, Chandrababu Naidu appealed the Lok Sabha members of all political parties to support the no confidence motion moved by TDP MPs.

In addition to that, he has attached a boolelt on the status of implementation of the assurances, exposing the central government’s failures.
