NDRF rescued 53 workers

A team of Indian Navy and National Disaster Relief Forces (NDRF) rescued 53 workers, including a lorry driver, from flooded Vamsadhara river, at Purushotamapuram of Sarubujjili mandal in Srikakulam district.
The workers were caught on the sand ramp in the river that is overflowing, following heavy rains and inflows. All of them have been sent to the hospital for treatment. The workers were caught on the sand ramp, surrounded by the gushing river waters, when a rescue team came in boats and rescued them.
