Adarana scheme-2 to launch on August 15

BC Welfare Minister K Atchannaidu has said that the government would introduce Adarana scheme-2 from August 15. Addressing a workshop on Adarana scheme here on Saturday, Atchannaidu said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would launch the scheme as per the schedule. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch the scheme.Minister Atchannaidu says modern tools will be distributed to 4 lakh artisans.

Under the scheme, he said the government would give modern tools to four lakh handmade artisans and added the government had already invited tenders for modern tools in this regard. Stating the artisans of backward classes are deprived of development due to various reasons, he said, now, the government would extend help to them. The minister also said the government had allocated Rs 700 crore for the welfare of backward classes against the previous allocation of Rs 100 crore and added the TDP government has special interest on the welfare of backward classes.
