Visakhapatnam Railway Zone: Good News from Piyush Goel

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal made it clear AP Reorganisation Act 2014 doesn't guarantee Visakha Railway Zone. This gave an indication that Centre has decided not to establish separate Railway Zone headquarters in Visakha.

Addressing media in Delhi, Piyush Goyal advised those who demand Visakha Railway Zone to study the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. He mentioned the Bifurcation Act doesn't recommend setting up Railway Zone in AP but just asked to study its feasibility. 

At the same time, Mr.Goyal told Railway Ministry is still studying the feasibility of Visakha Railway Zone and it's a process happening since the past four years.

Initially, Centre denied Visakha Railway Zone saying Odisha Government isn't in favour of it. Whereas, Odisha Government clarified it has no objection what-so-ever. Still, Centre kept making excuses to deny justice to AP.
