14-year-old girl attempted suicide

A 14-year-old girl, who attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze being allegedly raped by a youth in Palasamudram mandal on Wednesday, succumbed to burns while undergoing treatment at SVRR Hospital in Tirupati on Thursday.

According to information, Mumaswamy (20) allegedly sexually molested the girl when she was alone at home. The police are investigating the case.
