Tirumala priest Ramana Deekshithulu has made controversial comments on TTD officials and AP Govt. He said, they follow the 'Vaighansa Aagama Sastra' for various 'Aaradhanaas' and poojas which were decided 2000 years ago.

He said, in 1996 AP Govt had stopped 2000 years practice of 'Garbha Vaishnavatvam' priesting heritage in the temple. He claimed that there is no accountability to AP Govt over Sri Vari Ornaments since 1996. He also claimed that the TTD officials are forcing the priests to make changes in Sirvari Aaradhanas and Prasadam for VIPs. Ramana Deekshitulu appealed devotees to question the govt over the irregularities and save the temple.
