Another Rape Attempt On Girl in Guntur Disrtict

Tension prevailed for some time in the old city of Guntur as relatives of a victim pelted stones towards police station and set vehicles ablaze demanding to hand over the accused, who tried to rape a minor girl.
Several policemen including a Sub-Inspector was injured in the stone pelting. The cops lathicharged and dispersed the agitators. Meanwhile, Urban SP Vijayarao has informed that the accused was arrested and sent to remand. Additional forces were deployed to avoid untoward incidents and Section 144 was imposed.
