TDP leaders are demanding release of their party leader

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and activists, led by Tirupati legislator, Sugunamma, are protesting in front of local Alipiri Police Station, demanding release of their party leader, Subramanyam Yadav.

The latter has been taken into custody in the case of attack on the convoy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, Amit Shah, while it was leaving Tirumala yesterday morning. The TDP leaders claimed that one of the cars in the convoy almost hit one of the protesting party men. While police took him into custody, BJP activists attacked him, they added.
