The Former MP opined Chandrababu Naidu has been desperately trying to ensure YS Jagan, who remained firm on Special Category Status from the very beginning, doesn't get the credit. He feels all the parties in the state has now realized the people's sentiment finally.

Undavalli released the Letter he sent to CM appealing AP Government to file affidavit over the petition moved by him in Supreme Court finding fault with AP Bifurcation to media. On this occasion, He recalled Chandrababu Naidu questioning, 'Is Special Status Sanjeevani? We shouldn't forget Babu saying Special Status is a closed chapter. CM has been publicizing as if he is the only one who could bring Special Status using 11 News Channels. It's unfair to claim AP will be No.1 State in the World by 2029 when it's been in crisis. When Naidu claims AP is in top when it comes to GDP, Even those who support the state will question what is the need for Special Status if that's true'.

Responding on the promise of Naidu that he would bring Special Status if people offer TDP 25 MP Seats in 2019, Undavalli asked: 'BJP will be either in power or opposition by then. There is every possibility of Saffron Party objecting Special Status even then'.
