104 pilgrims have got stuck at Badrinath

About 104 pilgrims, who went for Chardham Yatra, have got stuck at Badrinath in Uttarakhand due to heavy snowfall. The stranded pilgrims include 64 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh. In which, 59 belong to Srikakulam and 5 from Visakhapatnam.


The Telugu pilgrims set out on a pilgrimage on April 26. They reached Badrinath on Monday and got stuck as the region is experiencing heavy snowfall. The Telugu pilgrims stayed in the bus till 12 noon on Monday and took shelter in the evening. A pilgrim said that they were starving without food and drinking water. Meanwhile, the AP Bhavan Special Commissioner A Srikanth is supervising the rescue efforts.
