Stressing the need for completing the developmental works as per schedule in the capital region, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said, “This is crucial time for us. We have to face problems if (works are) not completed in time.”

Mr. Naidu reviewed the progress of the projects taken up by the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) on Thursday.

The government would extend all possible assistance to everyone and expect that they would pay their role in developing a world-class capital city. The government wanted visible results in the next couple of months. The institutes that were allotted lands in Amaravati would have to start the construction works immediately. The government would be forced to ‘review the allotments’ if the organisations/institutions did not commence the works. Any negligence and delay was not acceptable, he said in response to a presentation by the representatives of the UK Institute of Health.

Mr. Naidu said that the other cities in the State also need support on the lines of Amaravati. Knowledge economy and innovation-based economy was the need of the hour along with a rising happiness index. “We need to work on the concept of citizen happiness and satisfaction levels,” he said.Mr. Naidu directed the officials to quickly complete the residential buildings for MLCs, MLAs and NGOs.
