YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy and party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu got a relief as the Hyderabad High Court has quashed the cases registered against both of them by S Venkata Swamy, leader of Telangana Communist Party, at Gandhi Nagar police station in Hyderabad in 2011.
The petitioner in the complaint alleged that the followers and party workers of YSRP had removed the tent erected by him to stage a dharna at Indira Park. YS Jagan and Ambati challenged the cases registered against them for the offence under Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act), 1989. The judge found that there was no allegation of abusing the respondent with caste name.
