The colleges in Telangana will continue to be favourite among AP students,even after close to four years into the bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State. This is evident from the number of applications that were received for the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2018. Nearly 29,000 students from Andhra Pradesh applied for the EAMCET-2018 till the last count at 8 pm on Wednesday.
A total of 2,13,029 candidates including 1,42,544 for engineering, 69,113 for agriculture and medical and 1,372 for both the streams, had registered. Maximum registrations of 42,518 were received from Hyderabad South-East Zone comprising LB Nagar, Hayathnagar, Pedda Amberpet, Ibrahimpatnam, Ramoji Film City areas.
The registrations without a late fee concluded on Wednesday. However, candidates can apply with a late fee of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 till April 11 and 18 respectively. The last date to apply with a late fee of Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 is April 24 and 28 respectively.Candidates can download hall tickets from the website eamcet.tsche.ac.in from April 20 to May 1. The entrance test for agriculture and medical streams will be held on May 2 and 3 while for engineering it is from May 4 to 7.
