PAC chief accuses AP State for failing to fulfill people's aspirations

   A.P. Legislative Assembly Public Accounts Committee Chairman and Dhone MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said on Sunday that the 2018-19 budget was far from reality as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu got a rosy picture painted to impress the people.

“Mr. Naidu has surrendered in the cash-for-vote scam, and is now compromising on public interests,” he observed.

Addressing the media at the YSR Congress State office here, Mr. Reddy said the State government had completely failed in fulfilling the people’s aspirations, but successfully put the YSRCP and its leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to trouble. It also committed the impropriety of engineering defections in the YSRCP, and rewarding those who switched their loyalties with berths in the Cabinet.

The PAC Chairman asserted that it was the responsibility of the Central government, whoever was in power, and all parties that endorsed the A.P. Reorganisation Act to ensure its implementation and give the Special Category Status.

The failure to get revenue deficit, which the CAG pegged at around ?24,000 crore, fully bridged was conspicuous.
