Gearing up for the crucial resumed Budget session of Parliament coming next week, the YSR Congress Party has decided to stall the proceedings from March 5 to press for a debate on its demand for Special Category Status(SCS) and voting in the Lok Sabha as TDP remained ‘non-committal’ on walking out of NDA over the issue .
Accusing Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu of shedding crocodile tears for the cause of SCS to the beleaguered State, YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the euphoria over the change in Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s stand in favour of SCS was lost within four days with the TDP not coming forward to announce support for the no-confidence motion proposed to be moved by the YSRCP. “It is unfortunate that the en masse resignation of all MPs from the State at the end of the session mooted by his party found no favour from the TDP either, lamented Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was on the 98th day of his Praja Sankala Yatra at Podili in Prakasam district on Monday.
