Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Wednesday ruled out any possibility of the BJP party joining hands with the YSR Congress Party (YSRC) and said Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was synonymous with corruption.

In a brief chat with media persons at Mangalagiri in Guntur district, Mr. Srinivas said the Opposition parties including the YSRC were obviously looking to benefit much out of the breakup of the BJP-TDP alliance if it happened, which, he insisted, was wishful thinking.

The State developed in the last four years due to the alliance and the two parties would fight the 2019 elections together. BJP State president K. Haribabu’s statement on the assistance given to A.P. was 100% correct, he said.

Meanwhile, Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao said the YSR Congress (YSRC) might move the no-confidence motion against the Central government but mobilising the support of MPs was easier said than done.

Mr. Rao told The Hindu there was no truth in the TDP’s argument that the Central government did not fulfil all the promises made to the State.

He said the implementation of the A.P. Reorganisation Act was in process and the Centre was not to be entirely blamed for any hurdles thereof.

The Minister alleged that the State government had failed to submit utilisation certificates for the funds spent on various projects and schemes but the Centre was sorting out the issues one by one.
