Sivaji, BJP activists enter into fight over television debate

A television debate on the injustice meted out to the State by the Centre turned into a fight between actor Sivaji and BJP activists in the city.

The debate hosted by a regional news channel saw the participation of all the political leaders of the city and student organisations. The debate was held in a college ground on Tuesday night. When the debate was going on, a group of BJP activists allegedly confronted Mr. Sivaji, who was criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to fulfil the promises made to Andhra Pradesh. The channel footage shows a BJP activist and Mr. Sivaji furiously arguing on the issue of criticising Modi. While Mr. Sivaji and other political leaders raised ‘Modi down down’ slogans, a group of activists stormed their way towards the former.
