GUNTUR: YSR Congress leaders alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was mortgaging the interests and wealthy resources of the state to Reliance Industries Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani. They demanded that Mr Naidu should reveal what he spoke to Mr Ambani. Addressing a press meet in Guntur on Wednesday, former MLA and Guntur YSRC Parliamentary constituency president Raavi Venkata Ramana alleged that Mr Naidu, during the nine-year rule earlier, weakened government organisations by closing sugar mills in the cooperative sector.
He alleged that the TD government was trying to handover public distribution system to the Reliance Group by opening village malls with Reliance’s partnership and expressed doubt over handing over government schools and hospitals to private players. Mr Venkata Ramana expressed doubt about the duo planning to rob valuable minerals and others of AP.
He said that Tata and Birla companies have been serving the society through their charitable trusts but Reliance never did such a thing. YSRC commerce wing state secretary Athukuri Aanjaneyulu and others were present.
