Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Department of statistics is organizing a three-day International Conference on " Population, Health and Development " from Wednesday onwards to Friday.
The meet will be conducted in conjunction with 38th Annual Conference of Indian Association for the Study of Population.
The prime objective of the conference is to provide a platform for a scientific discussion on important issues relating to population and linkage with health and development. “The intention is to enable knowledge and experience sharing among the population scientists working on these issues and also provide a critical review of various policies and programmes so as to provide an agenda for future policy initiatives,” a spokesman of the organisers said.
